I’ll never forget the day Liz first emailed me, asking my thoughts on coming to Èze, France to photograph her elopement. I get a excited every time I hear from a couple asking me to be a part of their wedding day. But having dreamed of visiting Èze, particularly the Chateau Èza hotel for quite some time, as you can imagine, I was over the moon. Liz and Graeme are quite the adventures - always hiking, exploring, traveling in their every day life, so it’s no surprised they picked Èze, with it’s grand views at the top of the cliff. They brought along their family and best friends to witness them become husband and wife on the balcony of the Chateau hotel. After they said their we roamed the cobble streets of Èze, taking photos in just about every corner we could squeeze in before the sun went down. We happily and accidentally stumbled upon the most beautiful sculpture garden, which I now know to belong to the Château de la Chèvre d’Or.
They moved into the evening with a 5, 6, 7? (at some point you stop counting!) course meal - full of incredible food, wine, laughter and hugs. They ended the most perfect evening with dancing on the balcony with all their friends and family. I think it’s safe to say, and they would have to agree, it was the perfect elopement.
